There were still plenty of riders who could handle the terrain though. The Frenchies were certainly active, with Europcar and AG2R both trying to maximise their TV airtime, but he best TV moment of the day belonged to Jan Bakelants (this dog nearly trumped him though). He's never won a race as a pro, although you'd never guess with the way he read the race. He made the decisive break, attacked his companions at just the right moment and managed to hang on till the finish.
Not far behind our Jan, was Peter Sagan and not far behind him was Michal Kwiatkowski. Which meant best score of the day went to me. Me! It wasn't enough to stop the Kloefekappers from leading the overall though.

There should be more hot Corsican action tomorrow, another tough one that might even see some of the General Classification riders try their luck.... The Froome Dog was certainly looking frisky today.
