Fantasy Tour Stage 18: Frenchman in Stage Win Shocker!

The Frenchies finally had something to cheer about today, as they got themselves a stage win. The race hasn't been kind to French stars like Pinot, Voeckler, Bouhanni, Peraud and Rolland. Luckily old timer Christophe Riblon was on hand to overhaul Tejay Van Garderen on his second trip up T'Alpe d'Huez and bag a win.

Even more pleased than the Frenchies with today's events, were the commenters over at CyclingNews. As Chris Froome is now officially a cheater. Once again, ellenbrook2001 hits the nail on the head.

Also pleased with how things turned out is Karlos, as he was Emperor of the League (for the day).  There seems to be no shifting the Chan, but the Pance is down to third, as the Kloefekappers move up to second.

More mountains tomorrow. They start in Bourg-D'Oisans, which happens to be where I saw my first ever Tour Stage back in 1991. If I remember correctly Dimitri Konyshev won, Miguel Indurain set up his first Tour win and I picked up some cheap tat from the publicity caravan. It should be a good stage, but I think those GC positions are looking pretty dialled in by now.
