FTDF 2016 Stage 17 - No for Pantano, Win For Zakarin

Plucky Colombian Pantano was trying his luck again today, but he couldn't quite catch up with Katusha's Ilnur Zakarin, not to be confused with Ilya Kuryakin.

The young Ruskie survived the break and took the win. He should surely earn himself a spot on the Russian Olympic squad for Rio, if only the whole country weren't at risk of being banned for all that State-Sponsored cheating they did. Still Zakarin is young and even though he's already served a 2 year ban for doping, he'll still have a chance at wherever it is 2020.

Getting the most men up the road today was Francisco and his eponymous team.

Rafal Majka's polka dot antics are not doing the Bile Beans any favors when it comes to the Vestan/Drew grudge match. I take some comfort in the fact that my boy A-Yay is looking good for a podium spot - I need to get a ton of end of Tour points
