FTDF 2016 Stage 11 - Sagan and Froome Blow Off Bunch

There were some strong winds on the Tour today and it caused trouble at t'peloton. As splits and echelons formed, cycling robot Chris Froome must have had some kind of the software malfunction, as he found himself up the road with Peter Sagan and some teamies. It was no surprise to see Sagan win the sprint from the Yellow Jersey but it was a surprise to see Froome take a few more seconds from his GC rivals on a day that should have been pretty mundane.

Meanwhile, the future of cycling, Nairo Quintanna complained about his job.

In the scores for today, Bile Beans Bigwig and blogging Big Ben......

Vestan Pance.

In the overall though, it's a different story, as Vestan's arch-nemesis, Drew still hangs onto the lead - like some stubborn dangleberries.

Still, I have to admire his 3333 points.

Stage 12 was supposed to be the big showdown on Mt. Ventoux, but alas, the "Windy Mountain" is forecast to be a bit windy tomorrow and so the stage has been shortened by 6km. I doubt it will make too much difference though. As today showed us, the stage doesn't have to be long to be exciting.
