Giro 2014 Stage 17 - Pirazzi Deserves a Pastry

If a rider has hung on till now at the Giro this year, then I think he deserves some respect and maybe some cake, (well, all of them except Pierre Rolland). So, hats off to all of the plucky chancers in today's breakaway.

As you can see there were quite a few faces in the big move of the day. And with no GC threats, they were allowed to get a good bit of time. Stefano Pirazzi has been plugging away for a while now and he finally got the win he has been after.

In a day where the underdog got the stage win, the MADFORITS finally had their day too.

More hills tomorrow and if everybody is a pissed off about stage 16 as they say they are, then it should make for an exciting race.
