TDF 2014 Stage 8 - Blel of the North(East)

You don't meet many Blels do you?  At least I don't.  In fact the only Blel I can think of is cyclist Blel Kadri, who just so happens to be the Blel who won today's stage in the Vosges region.  He's always one for a plucky breakaway and today he got it right and took the win.

Hot on his heels were the GC favourites, well some of them anyway. Contador had a few digs, but he couldn't shake Nibali until just before the finish line.

But enough of today's stage and lets get onto today's scores.  Because at long last, the Bile Beans have taken the most points for the day.

The Olliepops still lead the overall, but Mungo is moving on up.

More TV friendly mountain action tomorrow.  It's a bit flat on the run-in to the finish though, so there should be time for it to come back together.
