TDF 2014 Stage 15 - Kristoff Crushes Bauer's Breakaway Bid

We like to see a plucky breakaway succeed don't we?  Like Tony Gallopin the other day?  Jack Bauer was off the front for most of stage 15 and he looked like he might make it.  But  after a few too many looks over his shoulder in the last km, the the sprinters swamped him on the line and Alexander Kristoff took another stage.

You have to feel bad for Bauer, like his team-mate Talansky, there was nothing left for him to do but cry on the roadside.  I don't blame either of them though, I hear those POC helmets are made out of compressed onions.

Not crying was blog-curating cocksucker Vestan Pance.  Who did quite nicely for points for the day.

The Olliepops show no sign of giving up the top spot in the overall table.  Possibly because the Olliepops still have all 9 riders still in the race, while some other teams will be lucky to have enough riders to fill a tandem by the time the race hits Paris.

Stage 16 will see battle re-commence after the final rest day.  It doesn't look like anyone is going to be able to take the Yellow Jersey away from Nibbles, but there's still plenty of fighting to be done amongst the rest of the peloton.
