TDF 2014 Stage 20 - Tony's Top Time Trial Time

I called it way back on Stage 9, and it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Tony Martin won the only time trial of the race this year.  With no Sir Bradley of Wiggins or Spartacus of Cancellara, there wasn't any real competition.  But he did ride quite fast all the same.

The battle for the top ten (except the top one, Nibali could have stopped for ice-cream on the way round and still won the race) was still all to play for.  Doing nicely was Jean-Christophe Péraud, who did enough to finish in second.  And not doing so nicely was my boy Valverde, who was looking tired in the final week and couldn't find the legs to round-out the podium.

A poor ride from Valverde was offset by a good ride from Tom Dumoulin, whose second place helped earn the Bile Beans the mostest points for the stage.
