What are the scores, George Doors Chapman?

No racing today then, as the peleton has left the Netherlands and should by now be in Italy of all places. We're still waiting for the first Velogames scores, but at least I can see Drew's team in the minileague now.

It's team time trial time tomorrow and yet another opportunity for the pink jersey to change hands. David Millar is just 1 second off the lead and a good ride from the Garmin team will put him in pink. Garmin can ride a good TTT, but the loss of Christian Vandevelde will hurt their chances. Also down a man are Cadel's BMC team, who aren't the strongest anyway, so he could lose more time on his rivals. I'd say it'll be between HTC, Astana, Liquigas and Sky for the win. Sky have been targeting the stage and look pretty good in training, plus they've got the skills to dodge bottles thrown by passing cars and give them the finger.

The race starts again in the Piedmont region, which happens to be part of my Midtown neighbourhood here in Atlanta. Yes, we have our very own Piedmont Park, but there don't seem to be any preparations for a bike race going on. I would've thought they'd have some crash barriers up by now, but on inspection today, the park just contained the usual mix of joggers, dog walkers and men holding hands.
