Stage 5 - Breakaway stays away

Armchair pundits such as myself, were predicting a traditional bunch sprint at the end today's stage, but it didn't turn out that way. It was nice to see the day's "suicide break" survive to the finish line, as I do feel bad when some plucky breakaway gets swallowed up in the last few km. The sprinters were only four seconds behind, but Jerome Pineau, Julien Fouchard and Yukiya Arashiro just held on to the finish line.

In the world of fantasy cycling though, I was gutted that those little bastards stayed away. None of them were in my team and Andre Griepel might have been in with a chance. Then again, Harrison's lad Greg Henderson was riding well and he's got enough points already. A look at the scores tells us it's still Harrison's Pharma on top, while the minileague has now swelled to five with the addition of Drew and Danny.

It's the first of the mountains tomorrow. Nothing too serious, so the big boys will probably be content to watch each other, while they let a break go up the road.
