FTDT 2015 Stage 17 - Geschke Gets It; TeJay Gets Sick

With no racing yesterday, you'd think that everyone would be as fresh as a daisy for Stage 17. That wasn't the case for TJVG though, for he has fallen sick with complications arising from a case of the sniffles. After hanging off the back of the race for a bit, he abandoned.

The Tour waits for no man though. And up ahead there was a quality break fighting for the Stage. Simon Geschke rode the smartest and earned his team a much appreciated stage win.

Another battle was going on with the GC contenders. The Froome-Dog dealt with everything thrown at him, but Contador took a tumble and can pretty much say goodby to a podium place as he's now over 2:30 minutes away from the bottom step.

In the scores, league regular Mungo earned the most for the day.

And in the overall, Drew closes the gap on Den by 1 point.

More Alpine Action tomorrow with another tough stage, starting in our old friend, Gap.
