FTDF 2015 Stage 7 - Cav Pulls Out Late, Comes First

Stage 7 and we're only on our first stage win from the Cav. Recently the Manx Missile has been lighting his fuse a bit prematurely, but today he took matters into his own hands and beat off all the opposition.

Stage 7 and we're only on our first drug positive of the race. Recently Luca Paolini has been riding on a high, with a win at Gent-Wevelgem and playing a key role in Alexander Kristoff's spring success. Also, it would seem, he has had an occasional recreational oversight, as he was busted for having a cocaine metabolite floating about in his urine. I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for him being off his tits.

Meanwhile, the Froome Dog inherited the Yellow Jersey after the unfortunate exit of Tony Martin. Peter Sagan moves up to second and is only a time bonus away from the race lead, but looking at the finish tomorrow, it's a big ask.

Over to the scores and the Speckster gained the most today. Don't ask me where his little Jersey went, cutting and pasting isn't as easy as it used to be.

There's still that Drew in the lead in the overall, but if I'm not mistaken, Den is closing in on Drew's weakened squad.

Those of you who have mastered counting will realise that we move onto Stage 8 tomorrow and it's got a significant lump at the end.

Too steep of a lump for Sagan they say, but the GC contenders will hope to take a few seconds off each other on the run in. The Bile Beans have yet to get a stage win, so I'm hoping either the Froome or Yates delivers for me - come to think of it, I'll take a Simon Yates win, as he's the more obscure pick.
