FTDF 2015 Stage 8 - Alexis Sails Up Mûr-de-Bretagne

To be honest with you, I hadn't heard of Alexis Vuillermoz until he appeared in the results on the stage 3 up the Mur de Huy. The boy has obviously got a good uphill kick, as he timed it perfectly today to take stage 8.

Meanwhile most of the big-hitters finished not far behind, but bottle lobbing hot-head Nibali lost contact and lost another 10 seconds on Froome, Contador and Quintana.

If you have 4 Fantasy teams like Pharmacy mogul Richard Harrison, then  chances are you'll get a stage win sooner or later.

Drew keeps his lead for now, but with fewer sprint opportunities in the coming weeks, I think his time might be up soon.
Stage 9 is the team time trial. I would have picked Orica GreenEdge for the win, but most of them have crashed. In fact, by my reckoning they only have 6 riders left in the race and they'll have to finish 5 of them. With the Australian team out of contention, we'll have to see which of the "Big 4" has the team with the best legs. A good ride from BMC would put TJVG in Yellow.

  1. I knew I should have gone with Dan Martin and Warren Barguil not Majka and Poels.
