FTDF Stage 4 - Griepel Goes, Cav Crashes

Well howdy folks, happy July 4th Y'all.

I'm not sure I really approve of those ungrateful Colonials kicking out their benevolent British rulers. On the others and , I get the day off work, so I'm not going to complain. Then again, if I was still back in the UK, I would have had 3 days off for the Queen's Jubilee - but it probably would have been raining.

As it was, I spent today getting up way too early, and doing something most uncharacteristic for me. I went and did some of the running. If you've had the honour to know me in real life, you may know that I'm not a big fan of the running. It's bad for your knees you know.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that I made it round, and I even beat Batman and Superman. And the good news is, I won't be doing anymore running for about a year, because we all know, cycling is where it's at...... come to think of it, I think there's a race on right now.......Stage 4 of the Tour De France always looked like a sprint, and it was. No sign of Cav in the mix though, as he crashed. Looked nasty, but apparently he and teammate Eisel will both be starting tomorrow.

With no Cav around, it was Andre Griepel who took the stage, helped by a textbook bit of leading out from his Lotto-Belisol train.

To the mini league, and the Nadgers are showing no sign of letting go of the top of the table.

Coming up tomorrow, we have Stage 5. And most likely another sprint. Will Cav be up there? Or will a lack of skin hurt his top-end speed? And will Matt Goss win a stage? I'd like it if he did.

Anyway the 4th of July isn't over, so I better get in the Independence day spirit with some fireworks and booze. Always a good idea.
