FTDF Stage 16 - Voeckler Vomits Up Another Victory

So Tommy V won again today. It was an impressive ride, but I don't really approve of Tommy, and he's not in my team, so let's hear no more about him and his stupid face.

No, the big news came out of the rest day yesterday, when we discovered that Frank Schleck had produced an "adverse analytical finding" for Xipamide. Now Xiapamide won't help you win any races, (it certainly hasn't helped Frank this year) but it can help you piss out drugs that do. Then again, it is pretty easy to detect, and Frank is claiming that he has been poisoned - possibly because he's complained about not getting paid recently - we'll see how well that excuse flies with CAS, I suspect it'll go down as well as the tainted meat excuse. And I don't like to point the finger, but there was that time that Frank paid Dr. Fuentes a bunch of money for "training plans".

Onto the mini-league then, and another day ontop for Return of Reflex. Looking down the team, the Reflex boys are all quality, but Hincapie? Really Carl? I think you'll find his points earning years are well behind him, and Evans's bad day today could cost some end-of-Tour points.

Stage 17 is short and sweet. It will be the last chance for any of the climbers to gain any time Wiggins, but given how strong Sky have been looking, I don't rate their chances.
