Firstly let's get the rest of yesterday's casualties out of the way, as there were plenty of DNSs this morning.
Those that remained set off for La Planche des Belles Filles. By the bottom of the climb, Team Sky had caught most of the day's break and set to work destroying the field.
One by one most of the big names were shelled out, and soon there weren't many men left.

Evans had a go near the top, but Chris Froome was on him, and came past for the stage win. And got himself the mountains jersey for his trouble.
And Bradley Wiggins was right up there to earn himself the yellow jersey.
It's still early days, but the way things played out today, I'm expecting to see Wiggins, Evans, Nibali and maybe Froome battling for those podium spots, as everyone else looked crap. Sky looked strong today, but if Wiggo keeps hold of that jersey, they'll have a ton of work to do in the coming weeks and could start to fade. And can Brad handle the pressure of yellow? He's already been in a spot of Cadel-like petulance with a cameraman. Still, the guy was being a cunt, so fair comment from Brad I'd say.
Flamin' Nadgers are still atop the mini-league, but there's some strong looking teams moving up the table who could give them some trouble soon.

There's some medium mountains on the way tomorrow. With the top of the GC still tight, it might be a day for Sky to let a group of no-hopers go up the road.
