With all the excitement of trimming my hedges yesterday, I seem to have overlooked doing the update. So let's start off by congratulating Alex Dowsett on winning the time trial on a tough course and against some quality riders. Dowsett raised a few eyebrows when he left Sky for Movistar over the winter, but he looks to have made a wise choice. With Sky's strength, he was often left out of the big races, and his move to the Spanish team means he's now won a stage in his first Grand Tour. He's also a hemophiliac, but what he gets up to in his personal life is none of my business.
Back in second was the man everyone thought would walk-it, Sir Wiggo of Sky. He had a flat, but still, he would have wanted to pull back more time than he did.
Poor Intxausti lost his pink Jersey. The final climb looked like it went on forever for the little guy.
And a good TT from Nibali put him in the lead.
Best score for the day went to the Evil Chanbots. Team manager Danny and sometime Tour De Pancer Dave, are currently riding from Land's End to John O'Groats. You can follow their adventures here, and while you're at it, why don't you sponsor them?
