Fantasy Vuelta: Bumper Round-Up 2

Hello Blog fans!  Sorry to keep you waiting for the next thrilling installment of the Tour De Pance Blogging Blog… I've been busy and lazy and that.  I imagine you've been at a loss without my insight into how the Vuelta has been going.  Or you’re probably just upset that you’ve had nothing to read while you're on the toilet.  I am at work right now, so no pictures I'm afraid.  Just browse through Cycling News and find some ones you like while reading along.  Anyhooze, let’s get on with it.

Stage 8: Young German talent Leopold Konig did nicely with a stage win ahead of a star-studded chase group.  It was good news for his NetApp-Endura team, who only got a ride through a wild-card invite.  Maybe they’ll get a ride at the Tour next year, I wouldn't be on it though, as the ASO like to invite all the lackluster French teams before anyone who might actually race well. Not far behind Konig was Nico Roche who took over atop GC.  He wouldn't stay there long.

Stage 9: Daniel Moreno bagged another stage and proved that he’s going at least as well as J-Rod.  He also took the Leader’s Jersey, from Nico Roche by one second.  It wasn't to last though.

Stage 10: That old dog Chris Horner was at it again.  Another stage win and he did enough to take the race lead.  His spell in the Red Jersey wasn't to last though.

Rest day: Everyone rested and maybe did a short ride and some press stuff.

Stage 11: In the time trial, Nibali did enough to get the Red Jersey back and Fabian Cancellara proved that he’s still pretty handy against the watch.  He put 37 seconds into Tony Martin to take the time trial.  Not long till the worlds, where those 2 and Sir Wiggles will be fighting over the podium spots, although maybe Taylor Phinney can sneak in there too.

This post would get unfeasibly long if I include all the scores for each stage I missed, so let’s skip to the overall.  It seems that Drew’s moment of glory has turned into Drew’s couple of days of glory.
