Tomorrow has bunch sprint - and crashes - written all over it. If Kristoff and Degenkolb can't get me some points, or if they crash, I might as well admit defeat and send the Bile Beans home. Anyway gotta go, it's Alleycross tomorrow don't us know?

FTDF 2015 Stage 1 - Rohan Can
Hey Pance pickers! Happy 4th of July! I'm celebrating with a traditional American meal.
Anyway, to the Tour. I'm old enough to remember whe Thierry Marie used to win Tour prologues, but in more recent years, Fabian Cancellara has been the man to beat. He's not as young as he used to be though and Spartacus got beat. Young Australian engine Rohan Dennis delivered the ass-whooping (and Tony Martin too). If you consider his brief stint as hour record holder, Rohan is having a pretty good year.
In the scores, the race may have started, but the Bile Beans points scoring has yet to begin. I'm not worried though, I eschew the early glory in pursuit of my long-term goals. In the meantime, hats off to Dave and his Hopalongs for taking the lead after stage 1. And congratulations to Dave, Danny, Drew and Rchard-3-teams-Harrison for finishing a rainy Etape Du Yorkshire today. I would have ridden, but I was too busy doing your Mom.

Vestan Looking to Tour After Giro Disaster
Hello again, remember me? The cynical amongst you may be thinking "That Vestan has been a bit quiet of late, it must be because his Giro team sucked ass". And while there may be some truth to that, I would also add that I've been dead busy with work and the kids of late - plus my Giro team sucked harder than your Mom. Still it would be unsporting of me not to congratulate the Rouleurs on an excellent performance at the Giro, not to mention fine rides from Todoordie and the Dudes riding using good stuff, because those 2 teams usually suck harder than your Mom. This year's Giro was truly an epic race, with only the massive crashes and obviously juiced-up riders detracting from the spectacle somewhat. So before we move onto the Tour de France, let's all admire this shot, which I think pretty much sums up the 2015 Giro.
League Name: Tour De Pance
League Code: 30045644
Anyway, let's get to why you're probably here, which isn't for a well written or even vaguely thought-out blog, but is of course for the league code, well here it is bitches:

I've picked the Bile Beans, but I think my current line-up may be even worse than my Giro team. I imagine I'll be doing a fair bit of fine tuning to the squad before the start on 4th July - with any luck I won't have to go to work that day.

Classics Over, Giro on the Way
Hello there! In case you were wondering, I am still alive - if a little busy. So the Fantasy Classics season is over, and although I thought the Bile Beans had a pretty good run of it, they were eclipsed by the Kloefekappers and Enrico66. It was a close-run thing, but in the end the chapeau went to Enrico, with Warwick's team mysteriously dropping out of the league to avoid last place.
We've had a few other races since the Spring Classics drew to a close. I watched misty-eyed as the Tour De Yorkshire rode through my old home-town and I was pleased to see that my Strava KOM on a very short, downhill section of Stockton Lane just survived the day. It's a shame they didn't go the other direction, as I totally own Stockton Lane from that day I got behind the Coastliner.
In May, a Fantasy Cycling manager's thoughts turn to Italy, and the first of the Grand Tours. I've picked some Beans and set up a league for the Giro, so feel free to have at it.
League Name: Tour De Pance
League Code: 07202343
As you may have noticed, I haven't been able to update the blog as much as I used to in the days when I had such a thing as spare time, but rest assured, if I do spot a picture of someone with their arse hanging out of a ripped pair of shorts after a crash, I'll do my best to make fun of it on here.
